Accessibility Statement

Our commitment to an inclusive, accessible platform.

Last updated: 24 April 2026

Our commitment

EUCompany.org aims to be usable by as many people as possible, regardless of ability, device, or assistive technology. Digital sovereignty is meaningless if the platform itself excludes people. We treat accessibility as an ongoing design responsibility, not a compliance checkbox.

Standard we aim for

We target Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA across all public pages. For authenticated dashboards and scan flows, we apply the same standard but prioritise critical journeys (login, scan, payment, badge retrieval) first.

What we do today

  • Semantic HTML with proper landmarks, headings, and ARIA labels where needed.
  • Keyboard navigability for all interactive elements, including dropdowns and modals.
  • Sufficient colour contrast for text and UI elements against their backgrounds.
  • Text content resizable up to 200% without loss of functionality.
  • Form fields with visible labels, error messages, and descriptive help text.
  • Images with meaningful alt text; decorative images marked as such.
  • Server-first architecture that works even with JavaScript disabled on most pages.

Known limitations

We are a pre-launch initiative; our accessibility coverage is a continuous work in progress. Known issues we are tracking:

  • Some SVG badges and inline icons may lack full screen-reader annotation.
  • Complex data visualisations in scan results do not yet offer a tabular fallback.
  • PDF exports are not yet fully tagged for screen readers.
  • We have performed internal testing only; no formal external accessibility audit has been completed at this stage.

We do not yet make a formal compliance claim under the European Accessibility Act or EN 301 549. We intend to work toward that standard as the platform matures.

Compatibility

EUCompany.org is designed to work with recent versions of mainstream browsers (Firefox, Chromium-based browsers, Safari) and common assistive technologies including NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, and TalkBack. If you use a specific configuration that does not work as expected, we want to hear about it.

Feedback and assistance

Found an accessibility barrier? Please email info@eucompany.org with the page URL, a description of the problem, and — if you are comfortable sharing — which assistive technology you use. We aim to acknowledge reports within five working days.

Alternatives if a page is inaccessible

If you cannot complete a critical task — for example running a scan, downloading a report, or updating your company profile — contact us at info@eucompany.org and we will assist you directly until the underlying issue is fixed.

Review cycle

This statement is reviewed at least annually and whenever we make a substantive change to the platform. The “last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent review.
